Ian F MacDoanld Dip BS MRICS

Ian joined Gary Sweeney at Bluestone in 2004 from his position of Lead Partner at Watts & Partners’ Glasgow Office.

Ian graduated from The Glasgow College of Building & Printing in 1983 and has since worked in private practice in both Glasgow and Edinburgh, developing his expertise principally in commercial Building Surveying Consultancy Services.

His experience encompasses all aspects of building surveying involving industrial, commercial and residential properties and he has substantial senior level experience of Project Management, Contract Administration and of acting as Employer's Agent on a wide range of building types including retail,industrial and office property.

Ian has specialised in recent years in the provision of professional services to building owners and occupiers in particular pre-acquisition surveys, defect analysis, landlord and tenant issues including, dilapidations and planned maintenance 

He has developed expert knowledge in a number of specialist fields including Airports, Railways,Petrol Filling Stations, Waterways and Shopping Centres.
